Wow!

I can't believe that I will be in Peru on April 6th.  There has been a lot of preparation for this trip.  Shopping, planning, thinking, worrying, smiling, etc.
I've resorted to making a list.  I usually keep track of everything in my head, but now I'm pretty sure that I'm going to forget something important if I don't.  When I went to Ghana in February, I packed the day I left.  I definitely don't recommend that.  So this time, I'm trying to be more thoughtful with my planning.
Things I need:
  • passport
  • yellow fever immunization card
  • 3-4 shirts (I'm bringing the quick-dry kind)
  • long-sleeved shirts
  • 2-3 pairs washable pants
  • rainproof jacket
  • light fleece
  • underwear and socks (quick-dry is best)
  • warm pajamas
  • hat
  • walking shoes (maybe I'll get waterproof ones)
For toiletries, I need:
  • anitbacterial gel
  • sunscreen (The sun is strong on top of Machu Picchu!)
  • shampoo
  • tissues and toilet paper
  • insect repellant (in addition to the Malarone-medication for malaria)
  • deodorant
  • tooth brush and tooth paste
And other stuff:
  • journal (I may just use my ipad)
  • daypack
  • water bottle (camel back)
  • alarm clock
  • money belt
  • sunglasses
  • camera
  • flip cam
  • ipad
  • adapter
  • extra zip lock bags
I have some serious shopping to do.  I don't have a rain poncho, rain jacket, boots, quick-dry socks, cargo pants, batteries, and a bunch of other stuff.
Am I forgetting anything?
